Belarus Imposes Ban on ‘Ararat Brandy Factory’ over Quality Control Issues

Ararat Cognac Factory products banned in Belarus

The Belarusian government has taken a decisive action against the “Ararat Brandy Factory” by imposing a ban on the import and sale of its products. This move was made by Alexander Tarasenko, the chief state sanitary doctor of Belarus, following the discovery of inconsistencies in the product. The Russian news agency TASS reported this development, which was announced by the press service of the regional center of hygiene, epidemiology, and public health in Gomel.

According to the statement, products from “Ararat Brandy Factory” LLC are now prohibited for import, storage, transportation, sale and use due to quality control issues. The reason behind this ban is that a harmful dye was detected in the product prompting an immediate need to remove them from circulation and dispose of properly. It’s worth noting that “Ararat Brandy Factory” is known for producing wine and brandy items.

This development serves as a cautionary measure to ensure public safety and health in Belarus. The decision to ban these products underlines the importance of strict quality control measures in food production and distribution processes.
