Boston Brigade’s Flag Football Adventure Kicks Off with a Home Game

New Flag Football Team to Debut in Quincy this Spring

On Thursday, March 21, 2024, former BSU quarterback James Cahoon made an impression on NFL scouts during Holy Cross Pro Day. Cahoon showcased his skills and athleticism, attracting the attention of professional football teams.

In other news, the Boston Brigade is set to make Quincy its home for its inaugural season. The Brigade is a professional flag football team in the AFFL (American Flag Football League) and will play its home games at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium this spring. The team is one of the first four professional flag football teams ever established.

The Boston Brigade will kick off its eight-game season with a home double-header on May 11 against the Nashville Nighthawks and Las Vegas Lucky Sevens at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets for these games are available on the team’s website. The team’s first home game is set for April 27 in Las Vegas, with the championship game set for June 22 in Dallas.

Another home double-header at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium is scheduled for June 1 against the Dallas Ocelots and Las Vegas at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The team is excited to be a part of Boston’s rich sports history and believes the timing is perfect with the recent announcement of flag football being added to the 2028 Olympics.
