European Sleeper Extends Night Train Service from Brussels to Berlin with Stops in the Czech Republic

The Dutch-Belgian rail company European Sleeper has recently extended its night train service from Brussels to Berlin to include stops in Dresden, Bad Schandau, Decin, Usti nad Labem, and Prague in the Czech Republic. The train will run three times a week, departing from Brussels South on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7:22 PM in Brussels and 8:01 PM in Antwerp. The train is expected to arrive in Prague shortly before 11 a.m.

The new connection to Prague was tested recently by European Sleeper and is expected to attract around 40 percent of travelers from Brussels and Amsterdam who opt for this route. Co-founder Elmer van Buuren expressed his excitement about the new connection and mentioned plans to add more routes in the future, possibly including Amsterdam-Brussels-Barcelona in 2025 or 2026.

European Sleeper faces competition from Nightjet by Austrian railway company ÖBB on the Brussels-Berlin route. Nightjet offers an alternative route via Cologne, Bonn, and Frankfurt to Berlin as well as service from Brussels to Vienna.
