Revolutionizing Cognitive Health Assessments: A Collaboration Between Midi Health and Neurotrack Provides Early Detection and Intervention for Women’s Brain Fog Symptoms

Midi Health teams up with Neurotrack to assist in detecting cognitive decline during menopause.

As part of a joint effort, Midi Health and Neurotrack have teamed up to help women distinguish between symptoms of brain fog associated with menopause and signs of more severe cognitive conditions like early dementia. Through this partnership, Midi Health clinicians can administer Neurotrack’s cognitive screening to patients using smartphones, tablets, or computers, significantly reducing the test’s completion time to just three minutes.

This collaboration aims to provide women with prompt and precise information about their cognitive health, enabling early detection and intervention if necessary. According to Kathleen Jordan, Chief Medical Officer at Midi Health, brain fog is a common symptom reported by 74% of their menopausal patients. However, she emphasizes that experiencing brain fog does not necessarily imply a higher risk of developing dementia. For most women, the Neurotrack screening provides reassurance; however, for a few individuals, it could indicate early detection of dementia, which benefits from prompt treatment.

Midi Health recently secured $25 million in Series A funding led by Google Ventures to expand its services nationwide. Neurotrack is based in Silicon Valley and raised $10 million in 2022 before partnering with insurance provider Nationwide to streamline cognitive health assessments for long-term care underwriting.

The collaboration between Midi Health and Neurotrack underscores the importance of early cognitive assessment in women’s health during the menopausal transition. By leveraging digital technologies, these companies are making it easier for women to access timely and accurate information about their cognitive well-being, ultimately improving outcomes for those at risk of cognitive decline.
