Wellness Expo Promotes Colorectal Cancer Awareness and Healthy Living in Monticello

Wellness Expo to be Hosted by Jefferson & Madison County Health Departments

In honor of National Colo-rectal Cancer Awareness Month, a wellness expo will be held in the Monticello area. The event, organized by the Jefferson & Madison County Departments of Health Chronic Disease Committee, will feature more than 30 vendors. Administrator Kimberly Allbritton from Jefferson and Madison County discussed the importance of bringing the expo to the area in a video.

The wellness expo aims to raise awareness about colo-rectal health and provide valuable information to the community. It will offer free health screenings, disaster-preparedness information, giveaways, and more. Additionally, Second Harvest of the Big Bend will provide free produce giveaways and cooking demonstrations.

The event will take place at the First Baptist Church of Monticello from 4 to 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public, offering a variety of resources and vendors to promote wellness and healthy living.
